Not carrying a FatMan but need to make a big bang? Drop a mini nuke or 2, run, then hit it with a rifle round. Or do some interesting things, get the mod that makes explosives explosive, walk into a room and see a stack of mines\grenades\rockets just give?em a shot and they explode (and possibly chain reaction into other explosions). Place a few mines then take a few pot shots and have your enemies blow themselves up. One thing I did was when I was selling loot if the store ran out of caps I would just start buying what ever ammo they had as it could be resold and had no weight.Īlso, being strategic can be advantageous. Im a packrat when it comes to RPGs and I always seemed to have oodles of ammo in FO3. When you start out your skills are supposed to suck, hell playing the original Fallouts you could waste 2-3 rounds just trying to punch a rat. By the time my character was approaching 20 I had 100 skill and a number of +Acc perks and could hit just about anything I was aiming at. Leveling your small weapons skill has a very real progression (feel) to it. Good as in it reflected your characters skill level. If you folks can recommend any mods that would with the above corrected, I would be much obliged.Īny mods that you love that don't necessarily encompass all of the factors above, but make game more interesting and worthwhile, please let me know those as well.Īside from the update that temporarily broke VATS (perk bonuses) I found aiming to be good. but the same songs became a little tedious. Never ANY ammo for Lincoln's Repeater (My favorite gun in the game). Constantly repair guns & armor became tedious. I couldn't hit anything without the targeting system. Higher than level 20 (though the new DLC changes it to 30 - do you only get the 30 with the new content, or do you get level 30 from the beginning of the original FO3 with the addons installed?) Things that drove me nuts about the first time I played FO3 that I would like to see changed: What are your favourite MODS? Are there MODs that will work with the game + all DLC? I want to play everything with a new character. I'm about to play from the beginning, and I just bought all available DLC.
